The Bumbo™ supports a baby in comfort in an upright sitting position, and there are no uncomfortable straps to worry about. The baby’s body weight and pressure will narrow the gap above its legs slightly, gently supporting the baby.Ideal for babies from 3 – 14 months+ (4 –10 kgs/8.8 – 22 lbs). Our testers found the seat especially useful at feeding time, allowing a younger sibling to watch an older child at play.
Do not use unless the baby is fully able to support its head. Bumbo™ is designed so that the baby's own body weight helps hold them gently in place. Depending on the physical development and age of the child, some babies will be able to move out of the Bumbo™, so never leave your child unattended.
Here are some tips to help you use your Bumbo Baby Seat safely:-
1. Always place the Bumbo seat on the floor, NEVER place it on a table or chair, on car seat, in a bath or other water.
2. Check that the Bumbo seat does not move when you touch it and that it is stable on the floor.
3. Position your baby into the Bumbo seat by placing his or her bottom in the seat area and then their legs will extend out through the leg area.
4. The Bumbo Baby Seat is not a baby-sitter and you should never leave your baby unattended as some strong babies can shift around if distressed in the seat.
5. Do not leave your baby too long in the seat as they can get tired and bored of sitting there.
These Bumbo baby chairs are a great tool for a busy Mother at home alone as you can place your baby in the chair and get on with some tasks that you need to do – while keeping them in your eye-sight.
